Ten percent of total GX supply, exactly GX 125,000,000,000, is reserved exclusively for non-profit and charitable organisations. This is not a lending facility. These are outright, non-repayable grants distributed directly to verified organisations.
Reserved at protocol genesis
The allocation is hardcoded. No governance vote, no protocol upgrade, and no stewardship decision can redirect it to participants, businesses, or government treasuries.
Universal eligibility
Roughly 20 million registered charitable organisations are targeted globally. From a village-level community group to a multinational humanitarian agency, every verified non-profit can apply.
Direct on-chain delivery
Approved grants are minted on-chain to the organisation’s treasury wallet. Two registered signatories control disbursement, with dual approval enforced at the ledger level.

Grant amounts are determined by assessing each organisation’s verified financial history over the preceding 3 to 5 years. The protocol reviews documented revenue, expenditure, programme delivery, and operational capacity. The grant is matched to what the organisation can effectively deploy, not to what it aspires to deploy.
Community level
Grassroots and local non-profits
A village food bank, a neighbourhood literacy programme, a local cooperative. The grant is sized so the organisation can absorb and deploy it effectively, not stretched beyond its operational reach.
Regional level
Mid-size charities, specialized providers
A regional clinic network, an educational foundation operating across a country, a specialized service provider. The grant funds infrastructure, training, and systems alongside ongoing programme delivery, reflecting an audited track record and proven reach.
Multinational level
Global humanitarian and relief agencies
A global health body, a multinational disaster-relief agency, a major humanitarian organisation. Verification reviews multi-year revenue, expenditure, and programme delivery across jurisdictions. The grant matches the organisation’s demonstrated scale.
The principle is straightforward. An organisation that has effectively managed modest budgets receives a grant at that level. An organisation with a proven record of deploying significant resources across multiple countries receives accordingly.
Clause 03
Non-profit organisations exist to serve, not to generate profit. Applying a lending model, even a zero-interest one, introduces repayment obligations that compete with mission delivery. The protocol treats non-profits as a fundamentally different category from businesses. Businesses access the GX 250 billion loan pool on a profit and loss-sharing basis. Non-profits do not operate on that basis.
Repayment obligations divert resources away from the mission. A lending model, even a zero-interest one, introduces servicing pressure that competes with programme delivery.
In a post-activation economy, every verified participant receives GX units. The financial pressure on non-profits to act as the sole lifeline for vulnerable populations is substantially reduced.
Funded organisations can invest in infrastructure, training, systems, and operational efficiency. Capacity compounds, instead of being eroded by debt servicing.
The protocol prohibition on interest applies universally. For non-profits, the more appropriate structure is no obligation at all, not merely zero-interest debt.
Note: zero-interest loans
Where a specific capital need exceeds the grant allocation, the protocol can facilitate a zero-interest, principal-only loan on a case-by-case basis. This is an additional facility, not the default mechanism. The default is, and remains, a grant.

Because units are distributed directly to individual participants and a UBI floor automatically tops up balances below GX 24, the populations you serve already hold protocol assets. The financial pressure on non-profits to act as the sole safety net is reduced. Your focus shifts from survival fundraising to capacity, infrastructure, and impact delivery.
The grant does not replace ongoing fundraising. It provides the foundation from which to operate. Continuous fundraising still happens, just as it does in the fiat economy.
Where the protocol relies on you
